Blueprint Extension

Unfortunately, Blueprint is not planned to be compatible with Pelican Panel. The main maintainer of Blueprint has stated the following: "My vision with Blueprint does not align with Pelican's. Blueprint also currently does not have the manpower to maintain compatibility towards multiple forks of Pterodactyl at the same time, especially with the namespace changes." and "Blueprint is meant to be an open-source standardization for Pterodactyl modifications that lives under the MIT license."

This means that any theme or addon created for Blueprint will not be compatible with Pelican. This doesn't mean that Blueprint is finished, Prpl.wtf will continue to develop Blueprint and add new features.

Bagou450

One of the biggest addon developers for Pterodactyl is Bagou450. He has made many popular addons and has been in the market for years. Bagou450 stated in his latest blog that he plans to make his addons compatible with Pelican. Priority will be given to the following addons:

  • Artifacts Changer
  • Minecraft Modpacks Installer
  • Server Importer Pro
  • Minecraft Versions changer

He said in his blog that the migration can be expected a few weeks after the first release of Pelican. Due to the lack of information from the Pelican Dev team, it is not yet known if the migration will be free or not. But we can assume that if it's a smooth transition, the addons will be provided for free to existing customers.

Makkmarci13

Makkmarci13 has been developing Pterodactyl addons since Pterodactyl v0.7. He stated that he plans to make all of his addons compatible with Pelican Panel after a stable or near-stable version of Pelican Panel is released. He also said that he will probably give a discount to people who migrate to Pelican Panel, as he already does for people who buy multiple addons. But this really depends on what the Pelican dev team will change in the new Pelican Panel.

Weijers.one

Weijers.one, the market leader Pterodactyl Theme development team, is unsure about migrating their themes to Pelican Panel. It really depends on how the plugin system will work and how the license agreement will work in detail. But if they will migrate, they will introduce a discount for all existing customers who want to migrate to Pelican Panel.

UndercoverNL

UndercoverNL is the underdog of the Pterodactyl addons, who has created unique addons over the past few years. UndercoverNL said that he will probably have his addons work with Pelican Panel as long as the project remains just Laravel and React as it is now. However, no discount for migrating from Pterodactyl to Pelican Panel. He also said that he sees a lot of potential in the project and may be making new addons for Pelican Panel.

So will this be the end of life for a lot of addons and themes? No, even though Pelican Dev is introducing a lot of new features, this is not the end of Pterodactyl Panel. Pterodactyl is still a strong base to work from, and many third-party Pterodactyl developers will continue to make great addons and themes!
